Jabalpur. The “Education Week” organized at Hari Singh Roopraah College gave students hands-on experience of the entire criminal justice process from the filing of an FIR to arguments in the appellate court. During the week, senior advocate Sardar Narinderpal Singh Roopraah delivered a special lecture, and activities such as crime scene investigation, mock trials, and moot courts were conducted.

The week long program concluded on Saturday with the college’s very first student festival, “Sinoria.” Students coined the name by blending the words “Symphony” and “Euphoria,” symbolizing both knowledge and joy.

The campus turned into a vibrant sight, filled with colors and enthusiasm. Students and teachers appeared dressed as iconic Bollywood characters some in Akshay Kumar’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” look, others as Kareena Kapoor’s “Jab We Met” avatar, while a few chose Preity Zinta’s popular “Bhumbro” style.

The festival included dance performances, poetry recitations, and food stalls serving idli, chaat, phulki, and more, adding to the lively atmosphere. Students also organized fun games at very affordable prices to ensure everyone could participate and enjoy.

What stood out the most was the fact that students did not take a single rupee from the college. Instead, they utilized the available campus resources and managed the entire event on their own.

The college chairman, Senior Advocate Mr. Narinderpal Singh Roopraah, and Mrs. Amrit Kaur Roopraah, President of Sikh Education Society, also joined the celebration for a while. They danced with the students and shared in their joy. Speaking at the occasion, they said:
“We are proud to see the creativity and self reliance of our students. This is not just a fest but proof that our students are as capable in leadership and organization as they are in academics.”

The successful organization of Education Week and Sinoria not only provided students with practical legal insights but also gave a new platform for cultural expression and teamwork.
