Raipur, November 6, 2024 – The ongoing Rajyotsav 2024 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industrial and Trade Complex in Naya Raipur features an exhibition organized by the Cooperative Department, offering visitors crucial and practical information under the theme “Prosperity through Cooperation.” The exhibition highlights 54 initiatives aimed at establishing multipurpose and diverse cooperative societies in every gram panchayat, covering areas like minor forest produce, fisheries, and dairy cooperatives.
Key details include the transformation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) into multipurpose entities following the adoption of model bylaws. These societies now provide essential rural services, such as paddy procurement, distribution of seeds and fertilizers, loan disbursement, and operation as Prime Minister Kisan Samriddhi Kendras. Additionally, they are functioning as Common Service Centers, offering micro-ATM services, facilitating the world’s largest decentralized food storage scheme, managing Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras, and ensuring the distribution of LPG and the establishment of ethanol plants.
This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to rural prosperity through cooperative efforts.
