Bhopal: , November , 2024 : A grand ceremony was organized at Raj Bhavan to celebrate the Foundation Day of eight states and four Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, along with Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry. The event began with the screening of a short film showcasing the cultural, social, and geographical splendor of Madhya Pradesh.
Under the direction of Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, Raj Bhavan hosts the “Celebration of Unity,” marking the Foundation Days of various states. Residents of Madhya Pradesh originally from states like Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and the Union Territory of Ladakh participated in this special event. Participants shared insights into the cultural, historical, and archaeological richness of their respective states and expressed gratitude to the Governor for organizing the celebration. Wishes for prosperity and unity were exchanged among attendees.
Additional Secretary to the Governor, Shri Umashankar Bhargava, extended greetings to the residents of different states and emphasized the uniqueness of India’s cultural diversity. He highlighted the importance of unity, quoting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” and encouraged everyone to work together towards this goal. On behalf of the Governor, tribal art paintings of Madhya Pradesh were presented to the participants as mementos.
The event concluded with a communal feast. The program was anchored by House Controller Smt. Shilpi Diwakar, and Librarian Shri Amit Dixit delivered the vote of thanks.
