Korea, December 4, 2024 The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) has transformed the lives of yet another farmer’s family. Fifty-six-year-old Sarju, a resident of Khada village in the Baikunthpur block, is now living a comfortable life with his family in a sturdy new house, built under the scheme.
Sarju recalls their earlier struggles, saying:
“Our old house was made of mud and tiles. During the rainy season, it leaked, and insects and pests were a constant problem. Limited space and financial difficulties made life very challenging for us.”
A Tribute to His Late Mother
With deep emotion, Sarju shared,
“We are farmers with limited means, and building a permanent home seemed like an impossible dream. But this house was sanctioned under my late mother Kunti Bai’s name through the PMAY (Rural). Now, her memory will always be with us in this home. It has solved many of the challenges we faced in life.”
New Hope and a Better Life
For Sarju’s family, this home is nothing short of a blessing. The sturdy structure has freed them from the worries of leaking roofs and pest infestations. The spacious design now accommodates all family members comfortably.
Sarju adds,
“The struggles of our old house are now a thing of the past. This home has become a symbol of safety, security, and dignity for our family.”
Gratitude and Transformation
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Sarju highlighted how the scheme is not just about housing but about restoring hope and dignity to countless families.
“This initiative is bringing about a better future for families like ours and giving us the strength to dream big.”
A Dream Come True for Many
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has provided thousands of families with the means to own permanent homes. Beyond just housing, it fulfills aspirations for a better life. Sarju’s story stands as a testament to the scheme’s success and how well-crafted policies can create transformative impacts in the lives of ordinary citizens.
For families like Sarju’s, PMAY is more than just a government program—it’s a beacon of hope and progress.
