Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s portrayal of the Nohleshwar Mahotsav as more than a religious event, a vibrant celebration of local culture, traditions, and social cohesion, captures its multifaceted essence. Inaugurating the festival at Nohata village in Damoh district during a farmers conference, he lit the ceremonial lamp, viewed departmental development exhibitions, and announced transformative projects worth over Rs 777 crores, signaling the governments commitment to faith sites, irrigation, tourism, and rural upliftment.

Dr. Yadav’s address evoked the divine allure of Lord Nohleshwar Mahadev, whose blessings he credited for propelling Madhya Pradeshs progress with energy and responsibility. Declaring Nohata a municipal council after due assessment, he greenlit a Rs 2 crore Gita Bhawan in Damoh, a Rs 600 crore irrigation scheme augmenting Bandakpur Semarkho reservoir to benefit 33 villages farmlands, Rs 10 crore for water sports, boat clubs, and tourism, plus new stadiums in Tendukheda and Hatta. These initiatives complement broader Bundelkhand efforts, including Rs 165 crore for Tendukheda, a new four lane highway, organic haats yielding Rs 28 lakh in sales across 69 events, and e token systems for fertilizer distribution.

Hailing farmers as annadatas whose prosperity fuels national well being, Dr. Yadav emphasized priorities in agriculture, animal husbandry, and food processing, targeting milk production rise from 9 to 20 percent alongside cow protection. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering farmer focus, akin to honoring border jawans, and highlighted women centric schemes like Ladli Behna providing Rs 1,500 monthly aid, affirming mothers and sisters as familial and national dignity. The Ken Betwa link, India’s first river interlinking project, promises irrigation revival for parched fields, while industrial parks assure youth employment.

The festivals cultural depth shines through its 1,100 year old Nohleshwar Temple, built by Kalchuri Queen Nohla, now energizing tourism with performances by artists like Shehnaz Akhtar. Dr. Yadav celebrated cheetah reintroduction triumphs at Kuno National Park, 35 cheetahs including five cubs from Asha, and upcoming Nauradehi releases, positioning Madhya Pradesh atop tiger, cheetah, vulture, and gharial conservation. Homestay schemes with grants boost wildlife tourism income, urging gracious hospitality from operators.

Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Religious Trusts Dharmendra Singh Lodhi praised Dr. Yadavs idea driven leadership, noting 26,000 MW power availability and interest free farmer loans. MP Rahul Singh Lodhi highlighted the nearing medical college and Ken Betwa benefits for 300 plus villages. The event drew ministers, MLAs, farmers, Ladli Behnas, and youth, reinforcing holistic growth blending heritage with modernity.

Madhya Pradesh’s model fuses devotion with development, from organic farming to wildlife revival, exemplifying balanced governance that honors the past while irrigating the future. As Nohleshwar Mahotsav from February 11 to 15 unfolds with Kailash Kher bhajans, Shiv Tandav, and folk troupes, it promises national spotlight on Bundelkhand heritage.
