Raipur, November 24, 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai graced the 76th NCC Day celebrations at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur today. Addressing the event, he emphasized the role of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in instilling patriotism and discipline among youth while strengthening national unity.
A Celebration of Excellence
The 76th NCC Day event showcased a range of vibrant activities and performances:
- Parade Salute: CM Sai took the salute of the NCC cadets’ impressive parade.

Chief Minister’s Address
Congratulating the cadets, Chief Minister Sai expressed his admiration for their energy and commitment, stating, “NCC is a unique organization that builds character, teaches discipline, and nurtures a spirit of selfless service. Its motto, ‘Unity and Discipline,’ is the cornerstone of its contribution to the nation.”
He reflected on the proud moments when Chhattisgarh’s NCC cadets participated in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi, marching alongside peers from across the country. “Watching our cadets saluting the Tricolor fills every Chhattisgarhi with immense pride,” he said.
The Chief Minister acknowledged NCC’s efforts in motivating youth to consider careers in the armed forces and security services. He highlighted the increasing participation of girls in NCC and their leadership at national and international levels, calling it a testament to India’s evolving gender dynamics.
Empowering Youth for a Developed India
Chief Minister Sai reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047 and emphasized the critical role of youth in achieving this goal. “India is the youngest nation in the world, and our energetic youth will drive its progress. Initiatives like Agniveer and the integration of skill development into education under the New Education Policy will empower our cadets to serve the country across various domains,” he stated.
He also announced plans to expand aviation training for NCC cadets. While currently available only in Raipur, the training could be extended to airstrips in Bilaspur, Ambikapur, Jagdalpur, and Jashpur. “This expansion will benefit cadets from remote regions and provide them with equal opportunities,” he added.
NCC’s Achievements in Chhattisgarh
Major General Vikant M. Dhumne, Additional Director General of NCC for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, highlighted the selection of 900 NCC cadets from Chhattisgarh in the Agniveer program, underscoring the state’s high-quality training standards.
The event also saw the participation of key dignitaries, including Secretary of School Education Siddharth Komal Pardesi, Brigadier Y. S. Chauhan, and other military and administrative officials.
