Today, Kiran has access to clean, safe water directly from a tap in her home. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 127 households in Karahi Para have been connected with tap water systems, of which 118 have already been completed. The government has ensured proper verification of these connections, effectively ending the community’s reliance on unsafe, private water sources.
This initiative has not only improved access to water but also reduced waterborne diseases and elevated the standard of living in the village. Women, in particular, have benefited immensely as they no longer need to spend hours fetching water, allowing them to focus on productive and empowering activities.
