Ramniwas Betrayed the People of Vijaypur; The Public Will Definitely Seek Revenge: Jitu Patwari
Voters of Vijaypur Will Save Democracy by Electing Mukesh Malhotra: Vivek Tankha
Bhopal, November 7, 2024: The election campaign for the bypolls in Vijaypur and Budhni is gaining momentum. Senior Congress leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot, State Congress President Jitu Patwari, Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha, and other prominent leaders, gathered in Vijaypur today to support Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra. They addressed a massive crowd at a public meeting.
Speaking to the enthusiastic crowd, Sachin Pilot expressed his admiration for the energy and spirit of the people. “The elections on the 13th are crucial. You know very well why this election is happening, and what its purpose is. The current BJP government in Bhopal will not change after this by-election, but this election is being held to open the eyes of those who have failed the farmers, pushed the youth into despair, and allowed mafia rule to flourish across the state,” said Pilot.
He emphasized the need to uphold the power of the vote, urging the public to vote for Mukesh Malhotra, who is contesting the election with the support of Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. “Press the Congress symbol, the ‘hand’ button, and elect Mukesh Malhotra. He will serve you for the next four years,” Pilot assured.
Pilot also criticized the BJP-led government for taking the people for granted. “Those in power often forget the struggles of the common people, but the people of this state, including farmers, Dalits, backward classes, youth, and women, are aware of their rights. This election is a way to show them a mirror and open their eyes,” he added.
Addressing the relationship between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Pilot said, “Our bond is strong, and after four years, Congress will form the government in Rajasthan. By supporting Mukesh Malhotra, you will strengthen democracy in both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.”
State Congress President Jitu Patwari accused Ramniwas Rawat, the former legislator from Vijaypur, of betraying the people. “The Congress party supported him for 20 years, but he betrayed you. Will you seek revenge?” Patwari asked the public. He stressed that electing Congress in this election would help fulfill the promises made by the BJP. “By strengthening democracy through your vote, you will ensure that the promises made by BJP are held accountable,” he said.
Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha condemned the BJP for spreading lies and using the police and administration to intimidate people. “The BJP’s misuse of power through bulldozers and police is an affront to democracy,” Tankha stated. He called for a strong mandate for Mukesh Malhotra to protect democratic values.
The meeting was also attended by several senior Congress leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Singh, MLA Dinesh Garjur, Baijnath Kushwaha, Satish Sikarwar, Satypal Singh Sikarwar, Rishi Agarwal, Yadvendra Singh, Sunil Sharma, Virendra Raghuvanshi, Daggi Raja, Sukendra Singh Bana, C.P. Sharma, Atul Chauhan, Ramkinkar Gurjar, and Ram Pandey, along with numerous Congress workers and supporters.
