As Madhya Pradesh approaches its 70th Foundation Day, the state prepares for a grand celebration that mirrors its strides in governance, growth, and social transformation. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, addressing the Council of Ministers before their meeting on Tuesday, outlined an ambitious series of programmes to be held across the capital and all districts on November 1. These events, he said, will not merely commemorate the founding of the state but illustrate two years of significant achievements under his administration.
The capital’s Lal Parade Ground and Ravindra Bhawan will form the epicentre of these celebrations. At Ravindra Bhawan, a Vikas Pradarshani will showcase the state’s progress in investment promotion, digital governance, and industrial expansion, highlighting the tangible outcomes of the Global Investors Summit. New ventures such as Madhya Pradesh e Seva and the Invest MP 3.0 portal will be inaugurated, accelerating the state’s push toward paperless efficiency. The event will also feature the release of the vision document, Samriddha Madhya Pradesh @2047, centered on prosperity, happiness, and cultural continuity.
At Lal Parade Ground, audiences will witness the grand theatrical production Samrat Vikramaditya ka Manthan, a tribute to Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage, followed by a musical performance by playback singer Jubin Nautiyal. The celebrations will also mark the announcement of the theme for 2026 and the review of flagship programmes under the Udyog Evam Rozgar Varsh 2025 initiative.
Dr. Yadav described the vision document as aligned with “Mission GYAN” focusing on the welfare of the Garib (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers), and Nari (women), four pillars anchoring the state’s model of inclusive progress. The Chief Minister further spoke of the state’s growing awareness surrounding organ and body donation, acknowledging donors with a Guard of Honour in recognition of their humanitarian contribution. “Such acts of compassion inspire societies to transcend mortality through service,” he said, urging ministers to promote this spirit in their districts.
The celebrations will overlap with preparations for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, observed on November 15 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. From the state capital to village panchayats, events will honour his legacy and educate the youth about his unparalleled contribution to the freedom struggle.
With its focus on cultural pride, compassion, and vision led governance, this year’s Foundation Day embodies Madhya Pradesh’s journey from aspiration to achievement, a story not only of statehood but of steadiness, resilience, and renewal.
