Raipur, October , 2024 — The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, inaugurated the three-day Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav on the occasion of the state’s foundation day. Praising the ongoing efforts against Maoist insurgency in Chhattisgarh, Dr. Yadav commended Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s leadership in bringing stability and prosperity to the region. “Under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, Chhattisgarh is steadily moving toward eradicating Maoist threats,” he stated.

Dr. Yadav also underscored the shared cultural and historical heritage of both states, mentioning the significant contributions of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna to the region’s cultural identity. “Chhattisgarh has always been known for its simplicity, rich traditions, and natural resources. The saying ‘Chhattisgarhiya Sabse Badiya’ reflects the region’s cultural pride,” he added.

The Chief Minister outlined collaborative efforts to boost religious tourism, specifically mentioning the development of sacred sites associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. He expressed enthusiasm about fostering growth through major welfare schemes like the Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh and the Mahatari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai expressed gratitude for Dr. Yadav’s presence and acknowledged the transformative impact of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in creating Chhattisgarh. He paid tribute to regional heroes, including Veer Narayan Singh and Birsa Munda, and emphasized the government’s commitment to a developed Chhattisgarh.

Sai highlighted that, within just ten months, the government had fulfilled many promises, including purchasing paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal and launching welfare programs for women and farmers. “We have laid out a comprehensive vision document for Chhattisgarh’s development and will work relentlessly to achieve it,” he affirmed.

The event featured remarks from notable leaders, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, who credited Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the state’s foundation. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sav likened the celebration to a family reunion, with Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh sharing a bond as close as brothers. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma praised the advancements in cow protection and other initiatives that have propelled the region’s growth.

The ceremony was attended by ministers, MPs, MLAs, senior officials, and a large gathering of citizens. Honored guests received commemorative mementos to mark the occasion, adding to the festive spirit of the Rajyotsav.
