Bhopal, May 12, 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has underscored the need to prioritize the sentiments of saints, devotees, and spiritual leaders while planning and executing the upcoming Singhstha 2028 preparations. In an effort to maintain a high level of transparency and effectiveness, the Chief Minister has instructed the use of modern technology to monitor the progress of all Singhstha-related projects. This would not only help in assessing physical progress but also ensure the overall quality of the work. Additionally, a coordinated plan involving railway authorities and other relevant departments is being developed to manage the smooth arrival and departure of devotees.

Mediating Health and Wellness Services for Devotees

In response to the healthcare needs of pilgrims, Dr. Yadav announced the establishment of a comprehensive medical tourism hub in the region. The plan involves integrating wellness centers, yoga, naturopathy, allopathic and Ayurvedic treatment centers, alongside medical device industries and pharmaceutical companies. This will allow the district to become a focal point for medical tourism, offering both spiritual and physical well-being.

For the safety of the pilgrims, the Chief Minister assured that the army would also be present during the event to ensure a secure environment. Moreover, efforts are underway to develop major temples in Ujjain into “Devalokas,” turning them into world-class spiritual centers. A judicial facility will also be established to ensure swift legal processes during the event.

Infrastructure and Connectivity Developments

The review also highlighted the progress of key infrastructure projects. The total cost of the Singhstha 2028 works amounts to ₹23,332 crore, with 153 projects approved so far. Notable projects include the development of the Medicity Medical College at ₹592.3 crore and significant improvements in road networks like the 6-lane Indore-Ujjain highway and the construction of multiple bridges and underpasses to facilitate easier movement around Ujjain.

In terms of regional connectivity, efforts are also being made to develop the Malwa region as a major religious tourism hub, with improved facilities to attract more visitors. A comprehensive plan for improving the tourism infrastructure, including the development of temples and spiritual centers, is also being finalized.

Dr. Yadav also instructed local authorities to continue working on projects under their own budgetary provisions to maintain continuous development and ensure a smooth and successful Singhstha in 2028.

The meeting was attended by prominent local leaders, including MP Shri Anil Firozia, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, and senior officials from various departments, who all expressed their commitment to ensuring the success of Singhstha 2028.
