Jaipur, November , 2024 – In a unique initiative led by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, the Rajasthan Tourism Department will host a two-day cultural evening, Cultural Diaries, on November 29 and 30 at Jaipur’s iconic Albert Hall. This event promises a mesmerizing showcase of music, dance, and traditional performances, catering to locals and tourists alike.
A Fusion of Dance, Music, and Tradition
- November 29: The evening will feature captivating performances from Kishangarh artists, including Chari and Ghoomar dances. Alwar’s musicians will present the soulful Bhapang instrumental performance. The highlight will be Kalbelia dances by Khatu Sapera and her troupe, showcasing the unique collaboration of three generations performing together.
- November 30: Jaipur’s popular Indie Folk Group Yugm Band will perform, accompanied by a presentation of the traditional instrument Ravanhatha.
Empowering Folk Artists Through Cultural Diaries
Under Diya Kumari’s leadership, the Cultural Diaries initiative was launched to provide a platform for local artists and support Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage. This bi-weekly series aims to celebrate and promote traditional art forms.
The first installment of the Cultural Diaries series, held earlier this month, received immense appreciation from attendees. By bringing such events to the forefront, the initiative reinforces Jaipur’s status as a hub of art and culture while boosting tourism and empowering local talent.
