- The Chief Minister also urged staff to speed up work on the Jamrani Dam Project to ensure its completion on schedule.
Significance of Saung Dam Project
- The project is expected to supply 150 MLD (million liters daily) of drinking water to Dehradun, benefiting nearly 1.1 million residents.
- It will also play a crucial role in improving groundwater levels in the region.
- Additionally, approximately 15,000 residents from 10 downstream villages will be safeguarded against floods, enhancing overall community safety.
