Focused Training for 18,000 Personnel to Ensure Devotee Safety

Bhopal, November , 2024 – Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the disaster preparedness training program for the upcoming Simhastha 2028 at the Police Line Sarovar in Ujjain. The initiative aims to equip 18,000 police officers, SDRF personnel, Home Guard members, and civil volunteers with the skills needed to ensure the safety and security of millions of devotees expected to participate in the grand religious gathering.

Training Details

The program covers a wide array of disaster management skills, including:

  • Deep diving and swimming techniques
  • Boat handling
  • Usage of breathing apparatus, snake catchers, and other disaster management equipment

During the event, CM Dr. Yadav observed the demonstrations by trained divers, swimmers, and boat handlers. He also inspected disaster response equipment under the guidance of Divisional Commandant Home Guard Rohitish Pathak and District Commandant Home Guard Santosh Kumar Jat, who provided detailed explanations of their functionality.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of preparedness in ensuring a disaster-free Simhastha, stating:
“The safety of devotees is our top priority. Comprehensive training will empower personnel to effectively handle any emergency situation, ensuring a secure and peaceful Simhastha for all participants.”
