Raipur, November 25, 2024: The paddy procurement campaign continues to make a significant impact across Chhattisgarh, with farmers expressing happiness over the smooth process and fair rates. Farmers are now selling their produce with smiles on their faces, especially after the state government introduced a policy of buying 21 quintals per acre at a fair rate.

In Balrampur district, Mr. Ashok Sarkar, a farmer from Santoshinagar village, shared his gratitude towards Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for the paddy procurement policy. This year, he cultivated paddy on 1 acre of land and obtained a token to sell his paddy. Today, he came to sell 45 sacks of paddy at the procurement center, expressing his satisfaction with the ease of the entire process.

Mr. Ashok Sarkar emphasized how the policy had boosted farmers’ morale, allowing them to sell their produce without facing any difficulties. He also thanked the government for its efficient system.

Similarly, Mr. Vishnu Mandal, another farmer from Santoshinagar, shared that he had secured a token to sell 105 sacks of paddy this year. With the procurement rate fixed at ₹3100 per quintal, he highlighted how the government’s assistance had been instrumental in making the process smoother. He also appreciated the adequate facilities such as shade and water at the procurement centers provided by the administration.

Mr. Lakhanlal, another farmer, expressed his pride in being part of the first rice procurement in the Balrampur district, where his 150 quintals of paddy were the first to be collected. He mentioned how the state’s well-organized system was encouraging farmers to continue working hard, and said that the procurement scheme was motivating farmers to progress.

To ensure further transparency and assistance, the government has also issued a helpline number for any complaints or issues during the procurement process. The numbers are: 0771-2425463 and 0771-2425450.

This initiative is providing a significant boost to farmers, ensuring they receive a fair price for their paddy and empowering them to keep moving towards progress.
