Raipur, November 25, 2024 Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao celebrated his birthday in a unique way today by visiting the Kalyan Kunj Old Age Home in Bilaspur, where he spent time with elderly residents, seeking their blessings. In the heartwarming interaction, he distributed blankets, fruits, and sweets to the elderly. The residents of the old age home celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake and wishing him good health and longevity.
Honoring the Elderly and Strengthening Community Ties
During his visit to the old age home, Deputy CM Sao engaged in meaningful conversations with the elderly, listening to their stories and concerns. This gesture highlighted his commitment to social welfare and the well-being of senior citizens.
Religious and Social Engagement
Later, Deputy CM Sao visited Ratanpur, where he paid his respects at the Maa Mahamaya Temple, praying for the progress, prosperity, and well-being of the state. As part of his birthday celebrations, he honored sanitation workers by washing their feet, acknowledging their vital role in keeping the community clean. Local residents celebrated his birthday by offering him sweets, including laddus, as a gesture of respect and gratitude.
Launching Development Projects in Ratanpur and Kota
Deputy CM Sao also participated in several important development activities. In Ratanpur, he inaugurated ₹2 crore worth of developmental projects, which included the distribution of materials, including six e-rickshaws worth ₹30 lakh. Furthermore, he handed over keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) for their completed homes.
Speaking about the progress in Ratanpur, Deputy CM Sao emphasized the commitment to restoring the town’s historical and cultural significance. He mentioned that nearly ₹6 crore worth of development projects had been undertaken in the last 10 months, with more projects lined up for the future.
Transforming Kota with Developmental Initiatives
In Kota, a municipality in Bilaspur district, Deputy CM Sao launched ₹6.73 crore worth of developmental projects. He urged the local community to focus on improving cleanliness and said that it was not just the responsibility of the municipality but of all citizens. In the same event, he distributed loan checks to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana and handed over approval letters and keys for homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
Deputy CM Sao’s birthday celebrations and participation in these projects reflect his dedication to the state’s rapid development and welfare of its citizens, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
