Raipur, November , 2024: Chhattisgarh celebrated its 24th State Foundation Day and Diwali with grandeur, as Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai graced the diya lighting ceremony held at Ekta Path in Naya Raipur. Accompanied by chants and rituals, the Chief Minister lit the ceremonial lamps, praying for the state’s prosperity. This event symbolized Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage and unity, showcasing the vibrancy of its traditions. The dazzling illumination infused the surroundings with energy and pride.

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, MLA Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, spiritual leader Guru Khushwant Saheb, Indra Kumar Sahu, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, and Chief Minister’s Secretaries P. The spectacle at Ekta Path featured the lighting of 11,000 diyas, turning the venue into a breathtaking sea of light. The State Foundation Day celebrations in Naya Raipur were further enhanced by an extraordinary display of fireworks and vibrant lights that mesmerized the attendees. Melodious music added a harmonious touch, while beautifully crafted rangolis and dedicated selfie points became favorite spots for visitors to capture joyful moments.

To spread the festive spirit, sweets were distributed to workers and sanitation staff in Ekta Path and near the newly constructed CBD railway station in Naya Raipur. Established on November 1, 2000, Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
