Dehradun, July 9, 2026: Under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership, Uttarakhand on Thursday organized multipurpose public service camps, themed awareness drives and development exhibitions across several districts as part of the government’s five year completion campaign and the Seva, Su-shasan aur Samarpan / Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar initiative.
Through these camps, the government said it brought administration closer to people in remote and rural areas, enabling thousands of citizens to access welfare schemes and public services from different departments at one place. Health, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, industry, self-employment, women and child development, social welfare, rural development, education, revenue, electricity, drinking water, food and civil supplies, AYUSH, employment, dairy, fisheries and cooperative departments set up stalls and provided information as well as on-the-spot benefits.
Services such as health checkups, free medicines, Aadhaar and certificate creation, social security pension, Chief Minister self-employment support, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahalakshmi kit distribution, agriculture and horticulture assistance, animal husbandry and dairy schemes, job registration, scholarships and farmer welfare services were made available in one place. In several locations, beneficiaries who had done outstanding work were also honoured and shared their experiences of receiving benefits from government schemes.
The Department of Information and Public Relations also distributed publicity material and the Meri Yojana booklet in different districts to help citizens understand welfare schemes more clearly.
According to the state government, more than 5,300 citizens participated in these camps, over 4,470 eligible beneficiaries received benefits, 415 complaints and applications were received, and more than 179 cases were resolved on the spot. The remaining matters were sent to the concerned departments for time bound action.
District level participation was strong, with around 1,300 participants in Almora, 205 in Bageshwar, 185 in Uttarkashi, 128 in Pauri, more than 200 in Karnaprayag and 150 in Kanol in Chamoli, 440 in Champawat, 1,130 in Haridwar, 510 in Nainital and 1,150 in Bajpur in Udham Singh Nagar.
Chief Minister Dhami said the state government’s aim is to ensure that good governance and public service reach every citizen. He said Seva, Su-shasan aur Samarpan is not just a campaign but the government’s way of working. By taking services to remote areas, he said, the state is saving people’s time, effort and money while also ensuring quicker resolution of their problems.
