“Your Government at Your Doorstep” Initiative to Provide Benefits of Over 76 Schemes and Services
Foundation Stone Laid for the New Freeganj Railway Overbridge Worth ₹91.76 Crore

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the government is working tirelessly for the holistic development of the state. He stated that the development projects in Ujjain aim to elevate the region and enhance the convenience of millions of devotees who visit the Mahakal Temple, one of the most prominent among the twelve Jyotirlingas. Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Freeganj Railway Overbridge (ROB) in Ujjain, Dr. Yadav highlighted the infrastructural upgrades to accommodate the massive influx of pilgrims, including the one crore devotees who visited Ujjain during the 2024 Shravan month.
Public Welfare Campaigns and Citizen Benefits
Dr. Yadav announced that public welfare programs under the CM Public Welfare Campaign will take place from December 11 to December 26, 2024. During this period, citizens will receive gifts, and beneficiaries will gain access to government schemes and services. The campaign, which began on Geeta Jayanti and will continue until January 26, 2025, ensures doorstep delivery of essential services, including Ayushman Cards, property tax benefits, building permissions, Aadhaar cards, and over 76 government schemes under the “Your Government at Your Doorstep” initiative.
The Chief Minister remarked, “Earlier, we conducted the ‘Your Legislator at Your Doorstep’ campaign, and now, through ‘Your Government at Your Doorstep,’ we aim to resolve citizens’ issues directly via camps and other outreach initiatives.”
Geeta Jayanti and the Vision of Ram Rajya
Highlighting the significance of Geeta Jayanti, Dr. Yadav said, “The Geeta paves the way for devotion, knowledge, and yoga. Today, Lord Shri Ram is seated in Ayodhya, offering darshan to devotees worldwide. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the vision of Ram Rajya is becoming a reality.”
New Freeganj Railway Overbridge
Dr. Yadav performed the bhoomi-pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the new Freeganj Railway Overbridge and inspected its proposed layout. He directed officials to expedite the construction process. This bridge will connect Chamunda Square to Freeganj, considering the city’s growing population and the Simhastha 2028 religious festival.
The bridge, costing ₹91.76 crore, will be 21.40 meters wide and 633 meters long, with 9-meter-wide carriageways on both sides, 1.5-meter-wide footpaths, and a 0.4-meter-wide divider. Alongside the bridge construction, the surrounding areas of Freeganj will be developed into a major commercial and cultural hub.
Acknowledgments and Support
During the event, Ujjain Mayor Mukesh Tatwal delivered a welcome address and expressed gratitude to CM Dr. Yadav for sanctioning ₹128 crore for the Geeta Bhavan project. Other dignitaries present included MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Kalavati Yadav, former Union Minister Satyanarayan Jatia, and other public representatives and officials.
