Chandigarh, December 7, 2024 Minister Distributes Appointment Letters to New Recruits in Urban Development Department
Three new hires in the department received appointment letters from Hardeep Singh Mundian, the minister of housing and urban development for Punjab. At a ceremony held in Chandigarh, the minister welcomed Law Officer Kulwant Singh and clerks Rupali and Milanpreet Kaur, wishing them success in their new roles.
Record Recruitment Drive
Minister Mundian announced that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has recruited over 50,000 employees in the past two and a half years. The Housing and Urban Development Department alone has recruited 223 employees, with plans to fill more vacant positions in the future.
Put Employment and Economic Growth First
The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing job opportunities to Punjab’s youth within the state. He highlighted efforts to create an investor-friendly environment, boosting private sector employment opportunities alongside government initiatives. These efforts, he added, are propelling Punjab’s economic development.
The Mann government’s extensive recruitment drive showcases its dedication to strengthening public service while fostering a robust job market across both public and private sectors.
