Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, December 27, 2024: The moment Rekha Kaivart’s phone buzzes with a message confirming the deposit of ‘Mahatari Vandan’ funds, her face lights up with joy. Timely financial assistance every month has relieved her from the stress of managing her children’s tuition fees and the costs of lining and fabric for her tailoring shop.

A 42-year-old resident of Sarbahara village in Gaurela block, Rekha lives below the poverty line and runs a small tailoring shop to support her household. Since she started receiving the monthly support from the Mahatari Vandan Scheme, her life has taken a turn for the better.

When asked about the scheme, Rekha shares her heartfelt gratitude: “We never imagined that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai would extend such respect and support to women like us by directly depositing ₹1,000 into our accounts every month. This initiative is truly commendable, and I am deeply thankful to him.”

Rekha has three daughters and one son, all of whom are pursuing their education. Earlier, she often felt burdened by household expenses, but now, the financial aid has eased her worries. Not only can she pay her children’s fees on time, but she can also procure essential tailoring materials like lining and fabric for her shop without financial strain.

Rekha’s story highlights how the Mahatari Vandan Scheme is empowering women and bringing positive change to the lives of those in need. For Rekha, this initiative has not just provided financial stability but also instilled a renewed sense of hope and happiness in her life.
