In light of the upcoming 26th January Republic Day celebrations and Delhi Assembly elections, the West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, has implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure passenger safety and convenience. Joint teams of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) are maintaining round-the-clock vigilance on trains and at railway stations.
Key Security Measures:
- Close Monitoring of Suspicious Activities:
Strict surveillance is being conducted to prevent irregular or suspicious activities. - Use of Security Equipment:
- Extensive use of Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD).
- Bomb and explosive detection with the help of canine squads.
- Thorough baggage checks at stations.
- CCTV Surveillance:
All major stations in the division are under constant monitoring via CCTV cameras to track suspicious individuals or crowd movements. - Patrolling in Sensitive Areas:
- Regular patrols and security marches on platforms, foot over bridges (FOBs), outer areas, and inside trains.
- Vigilance in circulating areas, waiting rooms, booking offices, and parking zones.
Objective:
The primary goal of these enhanced security arrangements is to provide passengers with a fearless and safe travel experience. Special attention is being given to ensuring that no untoward incidents occur during the Republic Day festivities.
