I have read many random articles about horoscopes, astrology and more recently the concept of the twin flames. Yet I find these rules and concepts either too awkward or conflicting in many instances. So I decided to do a more extensive research to find the deeper spiritual origins of our relationships and love lives.

Many great relationships had a bashful starting point. On the day one, the nervousness we feel merely having to share an elevator or say a simple “hello” and reactively, how we arduously posture to impress someone we like cannot be easily wished away. The instant liking we develop for someone we are meeting for the first time and our strive to connect intimately with them goes deeper then we think.

Usually, there is this chemistry that ignites a seemingly unquenchable attraction between two persons for each other. Sometimes, the duo may not have had any prior contact in the past. It just so happens. You get to meet someone for the first time and it feels like you have known each other for eternity. We seem to connect on a more deeper level with that specific someone than we do with every other.

Love and relationship spiritualists believe that we have pre-existed for an infinite period. In this said period, the soul steadily grows until it attains a certain higher level of consciousness. At this stage, the soul splits into two similar but non-identical halves in order to come back down into a physical body. And we are born.

In essence, there are two parts of one soul walking the earth at any particular time. Everyone is in pairs. One male, the other female. You both are half the energy that sums up to one soul.

This other half of your energy is your Twin Flame, and when the two of you cross paths or finally get to meet, it feels like you are whole again.

Making each other whole

Figuratively, soul mates originate from the same substance or are of the same material. Imagine a huge blanket of energy and your soul is cut out of that blanket. You would share a lot in common with the other souls that come from the same blanket with you. These are your soulmates and you eventually end up as friends, family or lovers.

A Twin Flame, however, is when a single soul gets bigger and bigger up to the point where it divides itself into two different energies.

Once these two Twin Flame energies finally come to merge again, no matter how many cycles of reincarnation it takes, the cloth gets bigger and eventually forms new souls.

It is, however, important to note that this energetic split does not happen to everyone. It only happens to those who have reached a certain frequency or level of consciousness.

In each “twin” there are strong magnetic like forces that attract the two of you to each other. And perchance you eventually cross paths, it is hard to get separated again.

When Twin Flames come together, the relationship is super intense. This is because your minds resonate and think in the same way. It feels like not only dealing with the “baggage” in your own mind and body but also dealing with your “baggage” in another body.

Looking at your twin flame is like looking at yourself in the mirror. You both see your true self, your opposite traits, and your flaws. Your twin flame is your exact replica. A mirror of your self. As you look in the mirror and your right hand becomes your left, that’s how your Twin flame is.

Twin flames are the extension of our souls. According to Greek Mythology, we were originally created with two sexes, four arms, four legs, and two faces. Zeus feared that the massive power of men would overpower the Gods so he split everyone in two, dooming us to search for our other half for eternity.
